Our mission statement:
Preparing students to succeed
Online learning will start this Monday, November 16, and continue through Friday, November 27.
Please note the following:
Teachers will teach their classes by following the above virtual learning bell schedule.
It is important that students log in to each class daily, where they will receive instruction and have time to work on their assignments.
We are requesting that students keep their cameras on during instructional time (seventh grade math teachers will not be using their cameras). Parents may contact teachers for exceptions.
Teachers will take attendance for each class.
Our virtual learning bell schedule has one extended lunch period. This will allow students to get lunch and work with teachers during open office hours.
Teachers have embedded links to their virtual classrooms in Canvas.
Parents can keep track of students’ learning activities in Canvas by creating an observer account. Click this link for instructions on how to create an observer account.
Teachers may request to work with small groups of students in person.
Teachers will strive to reply to emails within one working day. Emails received Friday afternoon may not be addressed until the next working day. Teachers are not expected to reply to emails on the weekends, evenings, or holidays.
If your student still needs to get something from the building, please have them check in through the main office.
Despite our transitioning temporarily to a virtual platform for learning, we still have to conduct contact tracing and record positive cases. Please call the attendance office at 801-412-1010 if your student is exposed to or tests positive for the coronavirus. As we are still contact tracing, notifications for quarantine will be sent via email if your student was exposed at school.
First quarter report cards are available to view on Skyward.
Chromebook cases were sent home with your student this week. Please put their name on the case.
We know this transition may be difficult for some. We are doing all we can to keep our students and teachers safe. If you have questions or concerns, please call the main office at 801-412-1000.

Update from the MCMS Library
All library books will not be due until November 30. Fines will not be charged and will not accrue.
If students would like to check books in, they may return their book in the library bin just inside the school's front entrance. If students would like to check books out, they may place up to two books on hold in Destiny Discover before 2:50pm. If the books say "Hold Ready" they will be ready for pickup the next day on the library table just inside the school's front entrance. If the books say "Pending" the books are checked out.
Thank you for using our school library!
